Hello.
My name is John Malcolm Pouch and I am a writer, author and poet. I have been writing for many years and have four books in current publication. My fifth will be published in the Spring of 2008.
I am the son of Mary Pauline Collier, a Kentucky poet who left behind numerous books and journals . Her lastest work, published in 2007, nine years after her death, is titled Kentucky Woman, can be previewed and purchased by clicking on the Kentucky Woman link above.
I was born in Winchester, Ky. Our family moved to Huntington, W.Va. when I was four years old and when I was 16, we moved again to Detroit Michgan, where I currently reside. I have been part of Detroits dynamic and talented writing communtity since moving here in 1960.

Oh shunt I see the blue reflection
simmering in your eyes or ride the wind
on silver wings upon the
purple skies, then may we least
dream by the moon as it plays
upon the tears
that we cry so often in
life’s golden years.
Oh be it not our folly
to live as youth would say, we
have lingered much longer than
perhaps we meant to stay. We have
seen the years like child,
innocent and sweet,
and through it all we totter
on brink of life complete.
We shall not want for anymore,
our time has been well spent and
kindness and mercies were
both received and lent…..so
when it is time for the sun
to hide beneath dark clouds, may
the blue reflection of our parting
shine ever on life’s brow.
